Rodeo Super Series Year-end Finale Dates Announced

We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Rodeo Super Series Year-end Finale has been scheduled for May 12-13-14, 2022 at the Flickerwood Arena in Jackson, Missouri! The year-end finale will feature $2,500 in added money per event (9 events) with equal money added in the team roping for a total of $25,000 added purse (plus entry fees).

“We always planned to have a year-end finale to celebrate participation in our Rodeo Super Series,” stated Randy Schmutz, owner of Silver Creek Rodeo Company. “We were met with a number of challenges at the end of our summer season and were unable to host our Finale in September as planned. But we are excited to join with Flickerwood Arena and build a finals that our contestants will be proud of! This will be a GREAT way to conclude our 2021 season and kick off our 2022 Rodeo Super Series schedule!”

The Rodeo Super Series (RSS) launched in 2021 and hosted 8 rodeos produced by the Silver Creek Rodeo Company in Missouri, Kansas and Iowa! These rodeos were co-sanctioned with the Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Association (MRCA); the Iowa Rodeo Cowboys Association (IRCA); the Kansas Professional Rodeo Association (KPRA) and the Mid-States Rodeo Association. RSS Tour Stops included Licking, Missouri; Tarkio, Missouri; Lake City, Iowa; Winfield, KS; St. James, Missouri; Topeka, Kansas; Auxvasse, Missouri and Osceola, Missouri. Added prize money at these rodeos totaled $56,900 and at the completion of regular season, total event payoffs exceeded $143,000 this year!

At the conclusion of the regular season, the RSS had 103 different rough stock contestants and 577 different timed event contestants enter and compete at 8 rodeos. The top 4 RSS rodeos included St James, Missouri and Osceola, Missouri adding $1,000 per event added ($10,000); Licking, Missouri adding $800 per event ($8,000) and Auxvasse, Missouri adding $750 per event ($7,500). A total of $56,900 was added to the payouts at 8 rodeos for an average $7,112 added per rodeo. A combined total of $143,250 was paid out.

The Top 12 contestants in each event will be competing for a guaranteed $25,000 in total added money (plus entry fees) at the Year-end Finale. To be eligible to participate at the Year-end Finale, contestants were required to compete at 4 “Super Series” sanctioned rodeos. The top 12 rough stock contestants (based on Super Series points) will compete at the Finale and the top 8 timed event contestants (based on Super Series points) will be automatically seeded into the Finale. A Wild Card event will be held prior to the first performance at the Finale to determine participants for 9th thru 12th position in all timed events. Every timed event contestant who has competed in at least 4 Super Series sanctioned rodeos will be eligible to compete in the Super Series Wild Card event. The top 4 from the Wild Card will advance to the Finale performances.

More details will be released soon including entry information, entry fees and payouts and award formats!
